About Threedy
Threedy is a German deep-tech company pioneering the use of 3D data across industrial organisations. Founded in 2020 as a spinout from Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt, the company grew out of almost a decade of research and development in visual computing and has since grown to more than 60 employees representing over 16 nationalities.
At the heart of Threedy’s technology is instant3Dhub, an enterprise platform that enables complex CAD and 3D engineering data to be streamed directly from existing source systems and made accessible across browsers, applications and devices. Rather than relying on file exports, conversions or duplicated data, instant3Dhub connects to systems such as PLM and ERP to give teams access to current 3D data across engineering, manufacturing, service, sales and other areas of the business.
Today, Threedy’s technology supports more than 15,000 daily active users and is used by leading industrial organisations including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, TRUMPF, Daimler Truck and Stadler.
Understanding the Core
of the Business' Needs
Threedy first came to Alexander Daniels Global through an introduction from their investors, as the business entered a critical stage of growth.
Rather than starting with a recruitment brief, we worked with Threedy to understand its existing leadership structure and identify the capabilities needed to scale. This came in the form of extensive individual interviews, and psychometric testing together with a leadership coach, to identify strengths and weaknesses in the existing team.
This led to ADG proposing a retained search for a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) role, to support Threedy in establishing its commercial arm of the business.
With the appointment of the new CCO, ADG was again engaged on a retained search to place the new Head of Marketing who would support the CCO in launching the growth of Threedy into the next phase.
Finally and most recently, Threedy approached ADG again, this time to support with a new critical hire to drive their new AI product strategy. ADG was again retained, to help recruit an AI Solutions Architect.
