MakerVerse was founded in 2022 to make manufacturing as easy as possible.
With support from industrial leaders such as Siemens Energy and ZEISS, MakerVerse built a fully-vetted supply chain and a one-stop-shop platform. With a full range of manufacturing technologies, instant quotations, and expert support, MakerVerse helps solve manufacturing challenges from prototypes to serial production.
Since MakerVerse’s formation, they’ve seen how on-demand manufacturing has the ability to transform industries and allow them to do anything: reduce CO2 emissions in gas turbines, create rockets to explore the cosmos, and even design innovative fashion pieces for the runway.

THE VALUE OF ALEXANDER DANIELS GLOBAL
Understanding the core of the business' needs
MakerVerse first came to Alexander Daniels Global when the business was in its earliest stages. In order to prove the concept of the business, Co-Founders – Markus Seibold and Tim Schark – needed to identify a new VP of Engineering and a COO in order to demonstrate to investors that the concept was viable.
While in this stage of MakerVerse’s conception, Markus was in conversation with Alexander Daniels Global, who agreed to take on mandates for the roles while the business was in pre-stealth mode. This demonstrated ADG’s belief in the idea of MakerVerse and a dedication to supporting the business in becoming a reality.
Given the particular requirements of these roles, that the two new hires would come onboard as fellow Co-Founders as well as completing the C-Suite, MakerVerse retained ADG’s services on the Advanced Selection recruitment model.
THE ADVANCED SELECTION RESULTS

Working together with us, MakerVerse were able to make their very first hires, adding Manish Katoch as a Co-Founder & VP of Engineering and Ward Ripmeester as Co-Founder & COO to really kickstart their journey. MakerVerse opted for the Advanced Selection model as this allowed for a much more detailed, in-depth approach to identifying the ideal candidate. By retaining our services, we in turn were able to bring a structured process to the recruitment which helped us to identify the ideal candidate to integrate into and expand on Markus’ and Tim’s vision for this new venture.
The ADG team delivered the following:
- Detailed competency-based candidate screening and profile summaries, delivered in a candidate shortlist presentation
- Clear communication of requirements of the role to the candidates, expectation management and cultural fit analysis
- Guidelines on salary and compensation packages
- Extensive market mapping and explanation of where MakerVerse sat in the market
During the screening process, ADG were also successful in identifying a CTO profile who became an advisor to the Founders at MakerVerse.
As the business started to take shape, and VC backed funding was won, the business needed to scale rapidly, and ADG’s Partnership model was proposed to support with ongoing, rapid scale up of the business.
THE pARTNERSHIP RESULTS
EXPANDING THE TEAM TO 40 IN 18 MONTHS
Our Partnership Model was designed to give maximum support to our clients going through a period of rapid growth, typically following investment. This model is customized to the needs of the client. In the case of MakerVerse, ADG deployed one of our specialized AM recruitment consultants into the heart of the business in Berlin (Germany) for a period of 3 months.
Through this, we were able to help establish an in-house recruitment function, and onboard the new Junior Recruiter and Talent Acquisition Lead into the AM industry, ready for ADG to step back and allow the business to grow organically thereafter.
In this way, we supported MakerVerse in expanding from its founding team of 2 to a fully functional team of 40 within 18 months – accounting for 10 of those hires in that period: 3 were retained at the start of the collaboration, 6 in the 3 month deployment period on the partnership model, and 1 further hire thereafter.
The ADG team delivered the following:
- Deployed a specialist Alexander Daniels Global AM recruitment consultant into MakerVerse
- Established an in-house recruitment function specialized in Additive & other advanced manufacturing technologies
- Provided monthly recruitment fees that allowed MakerVerse to maintain control over their P&L
- Created a strategic recruitment plan that supported the growth that MakerVerse needed
- HR coaching and employer brand management in the job market
- Supported in making critical initial hires that allowed the business to later scale autonomously
Post Partnership Model, we continue to stay in touch with the team at MakerVerse and offer continued support on the most challenging roles that the business looks to hire.
