The case
The client retained Alexander Daniels Global to recruit two new positions on their behalf. The Head of Digital Manufacturing was a Senior Management level role required to build a team of Digital Manufacturing experts capable of developing and implementing turnkey digital manufacturing solutions for leading Aerospace and Automotive clients. The Digital Manufacturing Team Leader was a critical role within the new team and required a technical specialist in IIoT and Big Data.

With so few real case experiences of industry 4.0 implementation the potential talent pool for these roles was limited.
The challenge was to find individuals who had both detailed understanding of industry 4.0 technologies, had the ability to lead and develop a team and also drive internal and external stakeholder relationships and partnerships.
We undertook an extensive search of the market and were able to present candidates from companies including Siemens, Airbus, Sogeti HiTech, Safran, Microsoft and Intel – two of which were successfully hired.
