Additive Manufacturing Technician

POSITION SNAPSHOT: The Additive Manufacturing Technician is responsible for supporting the fabrication of flight-critical and high-precision components using advanced metal additive manufacturing technologies. This hands-on role includes operating, setting up, calibrating, maintaining, and monitoring additive manufacturing equipment, as well as safely handling metal powders, performing post-processing activities, and ensuring the successful execution of production builds. The position requires flexibility to support machine schedules and production demands while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and traceability requirements.

Key accountabilities include conducting inspections of manufactured parts, documenting production and test results, maintaining material and part traceability, and collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes. The technician is also expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support problem-solving efforts related to manufacturing challenges, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and additive manufacturing capabilities.

Successful candidates will have knowledge of additive manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards; proficiency with hand, pneumatic, and power tools; and strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and technical skills. U.S. citizenship, ITAR compliance, and eligibility to obtain or maintain a Department of Defense security clearance are required. Experience with EOS and SLM equipment, additive manufacturing operations, and aerospace or defense manufacturing environments is preferred. The role is performed in a manufacturing and laboratory setting and requires strict compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality requirements.

Project Pay Range: $38.00 to $43.00 per hour. Position is on-site and not remote. Relocation assistance may be a consideration.
